Rye. Historic Downtown McKinney. 

A nod to a simpler time.  Locally sourced products, hand-crafted cocktails, and the forgotten spirit of hospitality.

Rye opened November 17, 2015 in the former law office of Texas Governor James W. Throckmorton (1866-67) at 111 W. Virginia Parkway in Historic Downtown Mckinney, Texas.  

We are inspired by the buildings and streets of historic downtown Mckinney.  We take pride in the history thereof, and the traditions of our culture.  We desire to extend uncommon excellence and hospitality to our guests by building individual relationships and customizing each and every experience.  If there is something we can do to enhance your visit, please don't hesitate to ask.

Part of our mission is to cultivate relationships within our community. To that end, we have partnered with many local purveyors to bring the best products to your table.  As seasons change, so will the menu at rye. Working with seasonal produce helps us create value in our menu, but also ensures we are serving our guests the best of what the season offers. 

Our cocktail menu offers the perfect blend of classic prohibition-era and modernist cocktails featuring hand crafted syrups, house made infusions, and fresh herbs.  We feature several local beers by the bottle, as well as seasonal rotators and special releases.  We personally select every bottle of wine on our list to pair specifically with our food while also focusing on creating value for our guests.  It has been curated to feature some of the best hand-picked bottles from across the globe while featuring the best that Texas has to offer.

We are currently accepting limited reservations. 

For groups of 6 or more reservations are highly recommended. It may be impossible for us to seat you otherwise. 


At rye, our desire is to create a unique experience for every guest.  Our dining room is quite intimate, if you have a party of six or more, please let us know you're coming: or 214.491.1715, option 1.  At this time, we only offer limited reservations for parties under 6 with the exception of holidays.  On Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve, we will accept reservations for parties of all sizes.
